 Bathroom renovation

This bathroom hadn't been touched since the late 1980's and had been leaking for a while before we were asked to design something new. The floor and walls were water damaged and there was a fair amount of remedial work we had to carry out to the joists and plumbing before it was ready to accept the newly designed bathroom.

The brief from the owners was to create a bathroom that was bright, modern and practical but somewhere that the ladies of the house could relax in and pamper themselves.

Slipper baths are the MOST comfortable of inventions and our customer picked one with a full back that allowed her to fill the bath with bubbles and chill out with a glass full of even more bubbles!!

The tiles were large format gloss porcelain that required us to ensure the walls were perfectly smooth and level to achieve a great finish. A border of contrasting small mosaics and mirror tiles added to the bling. We positioned the toilet between two classic sink bowls sat on top of oak effect drawer units. These provide loads of space for the usual bath time lotions and potions and allowed the lads to share the bathroom when brushing teeth etc. The budget didn't stretch to a TV (although they desperately wanted one!) but we were able to install underfloor heating and a new spiral towel radiator to ensure every bath time was warm and cosy.
